The terms of office for Bleddyn Hancock, the elected Pensioner Representative Trustee for the North West England, West Midlands, Wales and Northern Ireland constituency, and James Grant, the elected Pensioner Representative Trustee for the Scotland and North East England constituency, came to an end on 30 September 2021. -

The 73rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme (BCSSS) will be held in Nottingham on Thursday 30 September 2021. For the first time the AGM will also be live streamed online for members unable to attend in person. -

ID Checks on Overseas Members
We are only able to pay benefits to Scheme members and their dependants. As a result, we carry out monthly checks on our pensioner records to make sure that we are only paying pensions to individuals who are entitled to receive a pension from the Scheme. We do this by checking details against the UK death registers. -
